TACS Program

The following TACS comprehensive program addresses the five safety cultural elements developed from 48 years of work in the safety field all over the world and all-around Australia. Each one of these elements has its own documentation, training and structure that will be discussed in this paper.

The five TACS elements are:

1. Our employees are our greatest assets.

2. Make the worker’s problem ours until the problem is solved.

3. When investigating an incident, we always ask why, never who.

4. TACS reports to the SLT, but we work for you.

5. No more them and us, we work as one.

Safety Culture

Implementing a safety culture in the workplace is crucial for ensuring the health and well-being of employees and reducing the risk of accidents and injuries. A safety culture refers to a workplace environment where everyone, from management to employees, takes responsibility for ensuring safety is a top priority. It requires commitment and effort from everyone in the organisation to create a culture that values safety. The TACS brochure outlines the steps that can be taken to achieve this.

The following will be implemented in the first year depending on the requirements of the client:

Pre implementation study: Conducted at cost plus 10%

Workforce survey

Workforce group sessions

Presentation to the site management team
